..and because I’m not asking you to model for me, more time to enjoy your wedding! The most natural moments are the ones I’m drawn to. These have the most vitaility, and really come alive in a photograph. Expression, joy, love, excitement, laughter, even a few tears. All these moments pass in the blink of eye, and it takes a photographer with anticipation and quick reactions to hold onto them.
We have all been to weddings where the photographer takes over, directing people like the cast of a play. I’ve never thought this was necessary. I much prefer to encourage people to behave naturally and have fun. What better place to witness so many strong human reactions than a wedding. It’s a privilege to share these moments.
When I’m working, I’m unobtrusive and calm, and I rarely take any of your time for posed images, I just don’t need to. This way I create a really intimate record of your wedding, whilst allowing you both plenty of space to socialise and enjoy the occasion.
