I’m not a traditional wedding photographer, but when I started 15 years ago I was. Back then, most of my work was based on giving directions for set poses. When I had time, I started to capture the authentic moments I could see happening all around me. I was just following my instincts, and had such a positive reaction that documentary wedding photography became a bigger and bigger part of my service. Today, most of my wedding clients book me exclusively as a documentary wedding photographer, but I can still return to a more directed approach, if it’s needed.
